Dear Members of Scottish Rite,

            Our family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for your language center.  At the age of 4 years old it was determined that our Daughter  was in need of speech therapy, as her Physician was unable to understand every word that she spoke.  We were referred to Scottish Rite from our local school Speech Therapist who was concerned that she would need more therapy than our bi-weekly visits.  Once we were accepted into the program, we were assigned to Katie, our therapist.  Her investment in our Daughter’s success is evident with every session we receive.  Not only does our Daughter receive therapy on a weekly basis, but also Katie is a wonderful resource.  She is there to answer questions, give recommendations, and write letters and e-mails when necessary for testing.  It is evident that Katie not only has an invested interest in our Daughter and her success but in the success of our family as a whole in dealing with and overcoming our Daughter's delay.  We appreciate all of her care, concern and support.

            Since our initial concern of Speech Therapy, it has been determined that our Daughter has a memory delay and difficulty with her short-term memory, making it difficult for her to read.  We are in the process of having her tested with a neurologist after completing IEP testing which determined she was eligible for Special Education.  We are thankful to have Scottish Rite and Katie to assist us through this process, and to provide continued therapy.

            Scottish Rite and Katie have been such a blessing in our lives.  The therapy our Daughter has received has been concentrated, detailed and well organized.  We have seen her improve and celebrated many successes thanks to Scottish Rite.  Thank you for this amazing program, we will be forever grateful to each of you members and the wonderful language clinic.
